My name is Amy Igou. I am a doctoral student at
Southern Illinois University-Carbondale majoring in Management Information
Systems. I am asking you to participate in my research study.
The purpose of my study is to learn ways software
development teams can better quantify the business value of their IT projects
within the organization. One focus is on managing software development projects, rather than the programming aspects. Another focus is how IT works with the financial organization to demonstrate business value. The study will focus on
agile development, but all projects will be studied.
Participation is voluntary and results will be confidential. If you choose to
participate in the study, it will take approximately 15 minutes of your
time. Please record your initial reaction. You will answer the following
questions regarding your most recent project experience.
All your responses will be kept confidential within
reasonable limits. Only my advisor and I will have access to the data.
Any identifying information will be stored separately from the survey
responses. All data will be used for academic purposes only and
will only be presented in aggregate. Individual responses will not be
able to be identified in the results. Should you decide not to participate, simply exit the survey.
If you have any questions about the study, please contact me
or my advisor, Dr. Kay Nelson.
Thank you for taking the time to assist me in this research.
